Scott was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.  His was not a church-going family, so God did not play a role in his life until he was a young teen.   It was then that he was invited to church on Easter Sunday and learned of his need for salvation.  He soon gave his life to Christ, and in 1988 was ordained into the ministry.
 

Scott has served as minister of music at several churches in staff, interim and supply positions, and has served with the music ministry of Riverdale since 2006.  He and his wife Michelle have a part time music evangelism ministry and have been blessed with 6 wonderful children.
